Happy New Year

Essex RAYNET would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of its members for their time during 2024.

They have volunteered to the Essex community this year, a total in excess of 2200+ hours – not including the Management Meetings and engineering tasks carried out throughout 2024.

This is comprised of community events, training days, AGM/EGMs and incidents/deployments.

We were supported additionally by Groups across the UK such as SW Hampshire RAYNET Kent County Raynet East Suffolk Raynet Mid Herts RAYNET – thank you!

We were also able to assist 5 events for neighbouring groups, volunteering 110+ hours.

We would also like to thank all the various charities such as Farleigh Hospice St Helena Havens Hospices BRIGHTLINGSEA CARNIVAL Clacton Carnival, First Aid Teams Essex Community First Aid Volunteers Events and Training and St John Ambulance, User Services Chelmsford Garden Community Council Essex Sunshine Coast and Suppliers such as Essex Radio Hire, Essex Communications Icom UK Official Fan Page who we have worked with this year to make the events we support and deployments successful.

2025 is looking set to be a busy year, with 13+ community events booked in, which serve as great training opportunities for operators and trialling of new equipment/modes.

We would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and a Prosperous 2025.

As always, we’ll be on call 24/7/365 ready to serve the county of Essex with resilient radio communications using amateur radio, and PMR.
