Essex RAYNET would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of its Members for their time during 2023.
They have Volunteered to the Essex community this year, a total in excess of 1600+ Hours – not including the Management Meetings and Engineering Tasks carried out throughout 2023.
This is comprised of Community Events, Training Days, AGM/EGMs and Incidents/Deployments.
We would also like to thank all the various Charities, First Aid Teams, User Services and Suppliers such as
Essex Radio Hire Icom UK Official Fan Page who we have worked with this year to make the events we support and deployments successful.
As many of you will know, 2023 saw us sadly loose one of our longest serving members, G8PYD Graham Farrell, who was in RAYNET for 45 years+. Graham along with ‘Smudge’ founded the Essex RAYNET group. He will be greatly missed, although his legacy with live on within the group for many years going forward.
2024 is looking set to be a busy year, with quite a few Community Events booked in with, which serve as great training opportunities for Operators and trialing of new Equipment/Modes.
We would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and a prosperous 2024.
As always, we’ll be on call 24/7/365 ready to serve the County of Essex with Resilient Radio Communications using Amateur Radio, and PMR.
