Operational update from our County Controller

A couple of items not mentioned in the June newsletter but for member’s interest:

Essex RAYNET will be submitting an organisational response to Ofcom, in light of the proposed changes to the Amateur Radio License.

It has been necessary to change the 70cm UHF frequency for our Aveley crossband repeater, to counter-act some interference that is local to the site, details of the new frequency are available from your area controllers.  The next Cascade Net will be on Wednesday 5th July.

The Clacton crossband is now operational and will also be available for the Cascade Net.

Please note the Cascade Repeater Network is not switched on 24/7 and is switchable by the Management Team in times of emergency, during an operational call-out  or for training purposes.
