St Helena Hospice Pier to Pier Walk

We are still buzzing from the incredible energy of this year’s Pier to Pier Walk, and I wanted to reach out to share the news and say a massive thank you for your generous support.
Because of your vital support, this year’s event was officially one for the history books. We saw a record-breaking turnout of 790 walkers hit the coastline, and so far we have raised a staggering £82,000 for St Helena Hospice, with funds still coming in!

We quite simply could not put these large-scale events on without your kind backing. Your support directly offsets our running costs, meaning every single penny raised by our walkers can go straight toward providing vital care and dignity to local hospice patients and their families when they need it most.

The day was filled with smiles, community spirit, and an overwhelming amount of positivity. Our marshals and volunteers did an incredible job keeping everyone safe and motivated along the route, and the feedback from participants has been absolutely wonderful.

Thank you again for choosing to support St Helena Hospice and for making this an unforgettable year. Your generosity has a profound impact on our community, and we are so incredibly grateful to have you in our corner.

Many thanks

Thank you Team, as always, your cooperation makes it all possible. I know you all understood why I paused Control whilst the medical emergency was handled – the 999 operator was confused but impressed by what she could hear in the background and appreciated the use of phonetic W3W – arriving within 7mins of the call on site was also very impressive!

Credit must also be passed to Richard for his superb event organisation, ensuring the water stop was manned (even if they did run out of supplies somehow) and to Peter for his calm, professional response to dealing with the medical incident.

Echoing Jason’s sentiments, thank you all for yesterday’s event, I think the whole team worked really well together and I know from speaking to the Hospice after the event they were incredibly grateful for our attendance as always.
73 and see you all soon from a very achy M0WRB
