Essex RAYNET is an entirely voluntary organisation, receiving no Government Grants or Funding, therefore we rely solely on donations from our members, charities who we support who choose to give us a donation in return for services rendered and general donations.<\/p>\n

Like any organisation, we have various expenses throughout the year which mean our opportunities to invest in new equipment, clothing and sites, is reduced – despite our best efforts to reduce these ongoing costs as much as is possible.<\/p>\n

All of our members volunteer many hours to assisting on RAYNET Events, Training and Callouts, all which incur expenses to our members such as Fuel, Parking and Food.<\/p>\n

We try to minimise any Financial outlay to our Members in regards to specialist equipment, by ensuring a sufficient supply of this Equipment is stored strategically with our Area Controllers, across the county, ready to deploy at a moments notice.<\/p>\n

Essex RAYNET would like to begin a much needed upgrade of its Crossband Sites, to help us ensure they are as resilient and functional as they can be, to meet the needs of the User Services of today – however this is not going to be easy to achieve – each of our seven sites is going to require a \u00a3700 upgrade.<\/p>\n

We also face the challenge of keeping our current 7 sites, fully operational while the upgrade process takes place, as being on the Essex Coastline primarily, they are prone to increased salt corrosion and therefore prone to a shorter lifespan.<\/p>\n

If you should choose to make a donation of any amount to Essex RAYNET, you will be helping us to not only continue to provide the Resilient Radio Communications we do today, but also help us continue to do so for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n
