Farleigh Hospice – Santa Fun Run\u00a0 – 7th December 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello Jason,<\/p>\n

I wanted to say a huge thank you to you for your involvement at the Santa Fun Run yesterday.\u00a0 After a worrying start without access through the gate we had a great day and over 500 runners and 60 volunteers really enjoyed the run!<\/p>\n

It’s always a wonderful day for our community and having your support to keep our runners safe and act as back marker is a great help.\u00a0 We really do appreciate your support every year and hope you enjoyed the event<\/p>\n

I hope to see you again next year – it’ll be the first Sunday in December again, so 6th December 2026.<\/p>\n

Farleigh Hospice\u00a0 – Cycle for Life 2025 – 7th September 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello Jason,<\/p>\n

I hope you’re well and the team had a good day yesterday.<\/p>\n

I wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the Raynet team who supported with our Cycle for Life event yesterday and made it such a success! It seemed to be a nice smooth event day for our riders with very few incidents which was absolutely ideal.<\/p>\n

We had such a wonderful turn out with over 300 cyclists including 63 sign ups on the day.\u00a0 We’re hoping to raise over \u00a320K which would be a great result.<\/p>\n

We are so fortunate to have the support of our local community for events like these to keep our wonderful hospice going and we absolutely couldn’t do it without you.\u00a0 Having the extra radio for me was a real help meaning a tiny bit less running around!<\/p>\n

Please do pass on my thanks to the lovely team and if they have any feedback or suggestions for future feel free to drop me a line.\u00a0 We will be reviewing the event and will let you know as soon as we have a plan for 2026<\/p>\n

St Helena – Pier to Pier Walk – 18th May 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wow!\u00a0 What an absolutely incredible Pier to Pier walk on Sunday!\u00a0 A massive thank you to you all at RAYNET who poured their hearts and souls into making it such a resounding success.<\/p>\n

Breaking records with a phenomenal 723 walkers is just outstanding! And to have already raised an unbelieveable \u00a365,000 – that’s before gift aid and all the amazing contributions from the day itself – its truly awe-inspiring.<\/p>\n

The love and energy radiating from our walkers was palpable and even the sun decided to join the party in the aftrnoon! And can you believe that surprise performance from NSO, Britain’s Got Talent finalists from 2024, at Clacton?!\u00a0 What a treat!<\/p>\n

Seeing walkers dressed as dinosaurs and sharks just added to the fun and unique spirit of the day.\u00a0 But beyond the joy and excitement, it was a deeply emotional day, with so many walking in heartfelt memory of their loved ones.<\/p>\n

Thank you again for making Sunday such a memorable and impactful day.\u00a0 Your dedication and support are truly making a difference and we look forward to working with you in the future<\/p>\n

\nwho supported with our Walk for Life event yesterday and made it such a success!<\/p>\n

We had such a wonderful turn out with a total of 762 people signing up to take part, and we’re hoping to raise over \u00a370k which would be a brilliant result.<\/p>\n

We are so fortunate to have the support of our local community for events like these to keep our wonderful hospice going, and we absolutely couldn’t do it without you.
\nHaving the 2 radios at E2V was a huge help with the coach arrangements, and being able to communicate with the bases
\nat Heybridge and Paper Mill Lock was ideal.<\/p>\n

I am writing to thank you for the help and support you gave us in organising the 10 Mile Baddow road race and the 2 mile fun run held at the Great Baddow recreation Ground on Sunday 19th<\/sup>\u00a0May. Your help keeping the runners safe was invaluable.<\/span><\/p>\n

We were fortunate with the weather and in turn this turned out to be a fantastic event. You will be pleased to know that we made over \u00a312000 profit from the day, which will all go to local charities.<\/span><\/p>\n

With a remarkable turnout of over 400 Santas, Central Park transformed into a vibrant sea of red, filled with happy and smiling participants. Despite the gloomy weather, the atmosphere was great and the sound of laughter echoing throughout was simply fabulous. We should take immense pride in what we accomplished for Farleigh yesterday, and it’s undeniable that none of this would have been possible without your invaluable help and support, along with the incredible contributions from our volunteers. You are all amazing, and I want to say a huge thank you to each and every one of you for making the Santa Fun Run 2023 such a great event.<\/span><\/p>\n

On behalf of Farleigh Hospice I would like to thank you and all the volunteers from Raynet for attending our Cycle for Life Event yesterday and supporting our cyclists.\u00a0Thanks to you we were able to offer three great cycling routes of 20KM, 50 KM AND 100KM routes across mid\u00a0Essex.\u00a0\u00a0The feedback from the\u00a0cyclists\u00a0taking part has been amazing with them praising the route, signage, the fantastic marshalling \u2013 cheering them on their way around the route and the\u00a0refreshments\u00a0offered to them to keep them going! We are hoping the event will have raised over \u00a320,000\u00a0<\/strong>allowing us to continue providing essential care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones across mid Essex.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0For over three decades, Farleigh Hospice has been providing care for anyone affected by a life-limiting illness or bereavement. We help people to live as actively as possible by providing physical and emotional care, free of charge. We support people affected by any life-limiting illness, including lung disease, neurological conditions, heart failure and cancer. Whether you are ill, bereaved, or worried about someone who is, Farleigh Hospice is here for you.\u00a0We are committed to continue providing care to those with life limiting illnesses\u00a0and will continue to do so in their own homes during the\u00a0Covid\u00a019 pandemic. We are also very aware that there will be even more people needing our services over the coming months and we have been preparing for this increase. Our aim is to keep our staff, volunteers and the people who use our services safe whilst continuing to provide much needed care for those who are at the end of their lives. \nWe had over 900 participants walking either 3 or 7.5 miles for our 10th anniversary with the majority of participants setting off in their flashing bunny ears and their crazy hair do or wig.<\/span>

Farleigh Santa Fun Run<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

“On behalf of Farleigh Hospice I just want to say thank you very much for supporting our Santa Fun Run on Sunday, we are very grateful!<\/span><\/p>\n

We had over 670 Santas take part. Without you, it would be impossible to run the event and we would not be able to raise the vital funds that enable us to keep caring for the people of Mid Essex with life limiting illnesses and their families. I am very pleased to tell you, that with your help, we have so far had nearly \u00a321,000 pledged in sponsorship, with more to come. We expect that the total raised from the event will exceed \u00a325,000!”<\/span><\/p>\n
