Farleigh Hospice Cycle for Life 2009
 
In excess of 800 cyclists participated in this years event.

Starting and finishing at the hospice in Broomfield, Chelmsford, cyclists followed routes visiting Great Waltham, Mashbury, Pleshey and the Rodings villages.

Essex Raynet supplied safety and first aid radio communications on behalf of the British Red Cross.

A number of emergency situations occurred during the event, these were co-ordinated by the control and resources were deployed rapidly. 

It is understood from the organisers that more than £60,000 has been pledged.
